LeRoy Neiman, known for his colorful impressionistic paintings of sporting events, died recently at the age of 91. Neiman, with his distinctive handlebar mustache, was a fixture at ringside for many of boxing's biggest fights. Muhammad Ali was a frequent subject of Neiman's work.

Earlier in his life, Neiman fought in World War II, participating in both the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.
