Add Glen Johnson to the seemingly endless list of boxers who have no credibility when it comes to retiring. Johnson, 43, retired on live TV after being easily outpointed by Andrzej Fonfara on July 13 in the main event of an ESPN2 Friday Night Fights card. The decision made all the sense in the world as the former light heavyweight champ had lost three fights in a row and five of his previous seven.
Nevertheless, Johnson will be back in the ring in London on Dec. 15 to face 24-year-old British super middleweight contender George Groves (15-0, 12 KOs). Welcome back Glen ... next time we'll know better than to take your "retirement" seriously.
