After thirty-six rounds, neither Manny Pacquiao nor Juan Manuel Marquez has established clear-cut superiority in their trilogy. After scoring a controversial majority decision last night in Las Vegas, Pacquiao now holds a 2-0-1 advantage over Marquez ... on the official scorecards. However, public opinion is once again divided on who truly deserved the decision.
Their third meeting was much like the first two. If you tend to score a close round in favor of the busier, more aggressive fighter - even if his aggressiveness is largely ineffective - you probably feel Pacquiao won the fight. If you are a fan of ring generalship and clean, effective counter-punching - even if it means throwing relatively few punches - you likely appreciate the technical craft of Marquez.
